Why we should not make New Year resolutions

At this time of year, many people are thinking about goals for the New Year and often make resolutions. Despite the best of intentions, many of these resolutions fail
for many reasons. One common reason is that these goals are too ambitious to achieve all at once and it sometimes becomes the mountain we are trying to climb with one giant leap.
Instead of resolutions, I suggest making small, measurable goals and focus on progress instead of perfection. A goal of making one healthy, meatless dinner per week (meatless Monday) and actually having a plan to get recipes and have the ingredients available by shopping day is a more realistic goal than deciding to magically achieve your perfect dream diet on January 1st.
Your health should be your number one priority every day. I encourage you in 2026 to make small steps in reaching your personal and health goals. I will be right here to support you and cheer you on. Cheers to an amazing year!
